- On each numbered mat, the student can:
- Count the coconuts on the coconut tree
- Trace the numeral with his finger.
- Either copy the number word or trace the number word (2 different mats included for each number – one mat has a blank handwriting line for copying; the other has a dotted number word for tracing). You choose which one matches your student’s ability.
- Finally, your student will make coconuts out of play dough to match the number on the mat and place them on a ten frame!
