I’m Jacquelyn!

Hi there! I am a homeschooling mom of four kids, and two have graduated. I’ve homeschooled for 18 years and still going strong! Before that, I studied Early Childhood Education in college and worked in several preschools.

I have and still am homeschooling my 4 children. Two have graduated (they homeschooled all the way from preschool!) and my oldest graduated with honors from college last year. I’m still homeschooling my younger two…..6th grade and 1st grade!

So why the name “Faithfully Teaching at Home”? I use the word “Faithfully” to show that I am a Christian. My husband is a pastor, so faith plays a large role in our family life and homeschooling. And “Teaching at Home” is obviously in reference to homeschooling.

Why did I start this website? I’ve had so many people during my 18 years of homeschooling come to me and ask my advice on how to get started homeschooling or what curriculum to use. So I decided to use my years of knowledge, mistakes, failures, highs and lows, and wins to help even more people.

What I’m seeing now is so many websites basically implying “This is the only way to homeschool for your child to be successful.” And I’m saying no, that’s not true at all.

Homeschooling works best when you make it work for your family, not the other way around. Don’t try to make your family fit into someone else’s idea of how homeschooling should be.

Like I always say, there’s no “right” way to homeschool. The only right way to homeschoolis finding what works for YOUR family, not everyone else’s family.

Overall, my goal is to help homeschooling families navigate this journey of educating their children! Everyone’s journey is unique.…let me help you find the confidence and know-how to enjoy this life-changing journey!
